How it works

  • Pick a page, click where you want the text, type it. The text is drawn at the click point with your chosen font, size, and color, using pdf-lib.
  • Standard PDF fonts. Helvetica, Helvetica Bold, Times Roman, and Courier, with sizes from 8 to 72 points and four colors (black, red, blue, gray). Unsupported characters are skipped with a warning.
  • Nothing is uploaded. Everything happens in this browser tab.

Frequently asked questions

Can I place text anywhere on the page?

Yes. Pick a page from the thumbnail grid, then click the spot where the text should start. The click point becomes the baseline-left of the first line of text.

Which fonts can I use?

The four standard PDF fonts: Helvetica, Helvetica Bold, Times Roman, and Courier, in sizes from 8 to 72 points and four colors (black, red, blue, gray). They cover Latin (Western European) characters; unsupported characters are skipped with a warning.

Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?

Never. The text is drawn into the PDF entirely on your device, like everything else on this site. There is no upload endpoint.
